Without Me

Seasons of Love. These lyrics popped into my head today. I never really thought about them, didn't even like the song - but recently it seems to carry more weight now.

Five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes
Five hundred twenty-five thousand moments so dear
Five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes
How do you measure, measure a year?

In daylights, in sunsets
In midnights, in cups of coffee
In inches, in miles, in laughter, in strife
In five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes
How do you measure, a year in the life?

How about love?
How about love?
How about love?
Measure in love

Seasons of love
Seasons of love

Five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes
Five hundred twenty-five thousand journeys to plan
Five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes
How do you measure the life of a woman or a man?

In truths that she learned
Or in times that he cried
In bridges he burned
Or the way that she died

It's time now, to sing out
Though the story never ends
Let's celebrate
Remember a year in the life of friends

Remember the love
(Oh, you got to, you got to remember the love)
Remember the love
(You know that life is a gift from up above)
Remember the love
(Share love, give love, spread love)
Measure in love
(Measure, measure your life in love)

Seasons of love
Seasons of love
(Measure your life, measure your life in love)

Putting It Back Together...

Recently there has been a lot of changes in our life. Some so wonderful and some not so great. I've been blessed with an awesome job, wonderful husband and a new place. We also have experienced terrible loss.
I've decided to back from it with some creativity and focusing on getting stronger and more healthy. Here are some things we are working on now.
I'll also include one drawing. It serves as a prayer more than a reality.

The Slow Show...

It's been a very quiet and sweet weekend, because of Presidents' Day I got to stay home. My husband and I had all of these grand ideas for the Valentine's Day holiday but we decided to slow it down and just enjoy some down time together with Rosco our dog. When I have more opportunity I'll stop by this blog more often. In the mean time I hope if you read this blog at all you can take some time for yourself today just for a really quiet prayer or to simplify your expectations.
